Abstract

Science and relegion are always regarded as two different jurisdictions and  even conflict. Both of these domains are actively involved to answer the origin and purpose of humans. Religion draws its answer from revelation and intuition while science bases its conviction on scientific rationality and reasoning. Despite the efforts of science and religion to avoid its conflict, it is nothing more than a mutual respect for each region. The purpose of this research is to study the relationship of religion with science according to Ian G. Barbour. The methodology used in this study is descriptive analysis method using a model of data collection in the form of literature review relevant to the focus of discussion in this paper. The results of the discussion showed that the relationship between religion and science according to Ian G. Barbour there are four kinds such as; conflict, independence, dialogue, and integration.
